FACILITY TECHNOLOGIST/EQUIPMENT TECHNOLOGIST POSITION AT MNCF, CENSE, IISC

The Micro Nano Characterization facility, Centre for Nanoscience and Engineering is inviting applications for the position of Facility technologist/Equipment Technologist

Job Description: The selected candidate will operate and maintain Characterization tools at MNCF including train/teach users in different characterization tools and maintain all documents and records. Ensure the tool SOPs are enforced and calibration and maintenance of the tool done on time. Execute the slots for internal/external users or for projects. Discharge any other duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Essential Qualification: Applicants should have completed Diploma/B.Tech/B.E/M.E/M.Tech/M.Sc (Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Materials, Physics or related subjects). Should be willing to work in the shifts if selected.

Experience: Prior experience in handling characterization tools like Probe stations, Parameter Analyzer, XRD, Raman spectroscopy, UV-Vis Spectroscopy etc. is preferred but not mandatory. A basic understanding of electrical/optical characterization technique is an added advantage.

Selection Process: Selection will be through a mandatory internship process (4+4 weeks). Interns are selected through an interview process and Candidates finishing Internship will appear for job interview at MNCF. Successful candidates will be considered for the following positions. Equipment Technologist (ET)/ Facility Technologist (FT) /Senior Facility Technologists (SFT).

Salary: Salary is based on skills and experience as per Institute norms.
