of Facility technologist/Equipment Technologist
The Micro Nano Characterization facility (MNCF), Centre for Nanoscience and Engineering
(CeNSE), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru is inviting applications for the position
of Facility technologist/Equipment Technologist.
Job Description: The selected candidate will operate and maintain Characterization tools at
MNCF including train/teach users in different characterization tools and maintain all
documents and records. Ensure the tool SOPs are enforced and calibration and maintenance
of the tool done on time. Execute the slots for internal/external users or for projects
Essential Qualification:
Applicants should have completed
Diploma/B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M. E/M.Sc. (Electrical, Electronics, Materials, Physics or related
subjects).
Experience: Prior experience in handling characterization tools like Probe stations, XRD,
AFM, SEM, TEM is preferred but not mandatory. A basic understanding of characterization
techniques and associated tools is expected, including tools available at MNCF as per the
MNCF website.
Selection Process:
Selection involves a mandatory internship process lasting 4+4 weeks.
Interns are selected through an interview process and Candidates finishing Internship will
appear for job interview at MNCF. Successful candidates may be considered for positions
such as Equipment Technologist (ET), Facility Technologist (FT), or Senior Facility
Technologist (SFT) with a starting salary ranging from Rs.25,000 to Rs.75,000 per month

Stipend*:
Interns will receive a stipend of Rs.25,000 per month upon completion of the
internship program
